Small Home Living Organization: Tips for Downsizing Your Home

Recently, we had the opportunity to help a sweet client organize her family’s RV. This was a first for us, but it quickly became one of my favorite client projects to date.

A little background… this client and her husband travel around the country in their RV for months at a time. Can you imagine? You might be thinking there is NO WAY that it could be comfortable or bearable. But, the more I spoke to my client about living small, the more I found just how much they love their space. From working to entertaining, they are fully equipped to do it all in their tiny space.

How To organize Your Spooky Basement

Is your basement dark and dreary? Decluttering these spaces can seem like an overwhelming task if you have a lot of stuff in there. Let’s just admit it, especially with clutter, the basement can seem a little spooky. Most basements are known as being unwanted and unused areas in your house. The air is musty, the floors are damp, and it feels just a bit scary.

This Halloween Inspired DIY project will help you declutter your spooky basement and provide you with ideas to help improve the look, function, and organization of the space.

Is your basement a repository for everything that does not fit in the rest of your home? Do you dread having to go down there to do your laundry or get something that you need? Well, many feel the same way.

How Can an OKC Moving Concierge Help Ease The Burden From Your Move?

When it comes to moving, the most important thing you can be is organized. But organizing takes time, effort, and often some insider tips and tricks to be as efficient and savvy as possible.

Professional organizers know exactly how to make the most of your time and space, and how to say goodbye to the old and hello to the new in the most refreshing way possible.

Here are some of the ways we, as a OKC move management company, can help you optimize your move:

Declutter before the movers come – Why pack up and move boxes of stuff you no longer need or that no longer serves you? Prior to your movers coming, we’ll go through your home, room by room, to help you decide what stays and what goes. We’ll help you determine which items need to be tossed, which can be recycled, and which can be donated, and we’ll even help facilitate each of those situations.
Setup organizing systems in your new home – The secret to staying organized is to start by being organized. Right off the bat, we’ll help you organize your things in your new home and create efficient, tidy spaces that make sure everything has its rightful place. With a blank space to start from, we can truly create customized solutions that will help ensure that your needs and the needs of your family are met.
Unpacking and organizing – Once we have systems in place to keep your home flowing, we’ll help you unpack your belongings and fill in your space neatly.

5 Ways Clutter Negatively Effects Our Health

Do you ever look around your home and wonder how it got so full of “stuff”? You try to remember a time when you could actually sit at the dining room table for dinner without moving loads of items off first. Maybe it’s not even just physical stuff that is cluttering your life. Virtual clutter, such as an overflowing email inbox, is just as chaotic.
The accumulation of both physical and mental clutter can feel exhausting and defeating.
Before organizing, I spent 12 years in the medical field as a physical therapist treating people in their home settings. It was during those years that I witnessed firsthand how a cluttered and unorganized environment affects health.
Often, we get so wrapped up in life and routine that we don’t really take time to acknowledge or understand how the clutter and disorganization around us causes major harm.
Most of the ways clutter affects us, that I will share below, will be a complete shock since we wouldn’t normally think that simple inanimate objects in our own home could cause such disarray… but that’s not the case.
